Mr. Bryan McGrath has spoken and written widely on the topics of naval strategy and force structure and is the head of a consultancy known as the Ferryman Bridge Group. As Director of the Strategic Actions Group of the U.S. Navy, he was one of a seven person group of officers chosen to formulate and draft the Maritime Component of the National Military Strategy. Prior to that time, among other positions, he was the Commanding Officer of the USS Bulkeley, an Arleigh Burke Class destroyer in the U.S. Navy. Later in time, he served in various capacities, including with Northrup Grumman Corporation, the Hudson Institute, and the Romney for President campaign.

Attendees shared perceptions and reflections on the pivotal years between the relative tranquility of the Eisenhower years and the emotional and political upheavals that followed the assassination of President Kennedy.
