March 26, 2015, was a joint meeting with the Rockville Rotary Club and was held at Bretton Woods Recreation Center. Larry A. Bowers was our special guest speaker and is serving as Interim Superintendent of Schools until June 30, 2015. Mr. Bowers has worked for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) for 37 years and has served in a variety of leadership positions for the past two decades.

President Caesar Kavadoy presents the Rotary International cookbook to Rotarian Ed Edmundson. Ed reviewed a number of positions that he has held and he currently has a passion to empower entrepreneurship in Nepal and other countries.
Ed Edmundson displays handbags that are handmade in Nepal. In 2004, he started Earth Divas, a fair trade wholesale business. A few times a year he visits Nepal to help artisans design and produce handbags and accessories that are sold in health food stores throughout the US. He takes no compensation – 100% of the profits are paid back to the artisans.
