. My daughter, Susan Alexander Thompson, has been involved in the theater scene in Maryland for 30 years. She performed and taught for years with the Young Americans of Washington in Wheaton and represented the state as Miss Maryland in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City in 1996. She now has her own company, Take the Stage, in Rockville and teaches musical theater to many very talented youngsters.
