Rotary District 7610 has successfully forged a partnership with the Washington Nationals for the 2012 season.
First, there will be a third End Polio Now Night on Saturday, August 18. The Nationals will be playing the New York Mets, with game time at 7:05 p.m. and a post-game concert with 90s alternative rock band Third Eye Blind.
Clubs will have one opportunity to purchase tickets directly through the district’s Washington Nationals contact, Megan Holeman, and avoid most service fees (except shipping). Individual Rotarians can purchase online using the following link: www.nationals.com/endpolio (service fees apply). The past two End Polio Now Nights have attracted over 1,500 Rotarians, families, friends and others.
However, this season the partnership has grown to a new level. Rotary has now been included in the Nationals discount coupon program. Rotarians and non- Rotarians can purchase tickets to any Nationals game (except Phillies and Yankees) during the 2012 season and not only receive a lower ticket price, but also make a contribution of $5 per ticket to The Rotary Foundation for PolioPlus.
A person can go to www.nationals.com/tickets, select a particular game by clicking the green box for tickets, and then enter the coupon code ENDPOLIO (all caps and no space) to receive discounts in certain sections of Nationals Park, including the Club level. This program is only offered online so members will be subject to service and handling fees.
