Measuring Chemotherapy Side Effects in Mice

Part of the reason why it’s hard to treat chemotherapy side effects in cancer survivors is because traditional mouse models of chemo do not adequately represent the human experience.  Dr. Meade will demonstrate how to use the scientific method to develop better mouse models of chemo side effects and test new medicines to treat these side effects.

Dr. Julie Meade graduated with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020.  Dr. Meade served as an editor on a medical textbook before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Scientific Writer.
