Alex and Steve Naron along with other volunteers at the Manna Food Center box packing on April 14, 2015.  If you can assist next month it would be much appreciated.  Manna is always held on the second Tuesday of the month.

[Above] President Caesar Kavadoy congratulates Monica Farmer on her classification talk.  Monica manages grants for the Division of Community-based Programs’ Western Branch at the Health Resources and Services Administration.  She was with the Division originally from 2000-2003, overseeing the same Ryan White (then Title III and IV) programs.  In Atlanta, she worked for CDC in HIV prevention and public health emergency preparedness, and was temporarily assigned to the Research Extramural Office as Science Program Administrator.  In Florida’s Miami–Dade County, Monica did HIV/AIDS work with a community-based organization and a research firm. She spent 13 years with the State of Florida in public assistance, child welfare, and elder and disabled-adult protection.  Once coordinator of the University of Florida (Gainesville) Neurodevelopmental Center, she’s also a U of F graduate in health education.  While on active duty as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, she completed her master’s in community counseling at Mississippi State University’s Meridian campus.  The Germantown resident has published a children’s book, Lil Fannie’s Farm, about growing up in rural Florida – used by educators with parents who have limited English proficiency, and simply “to encourage parents to read to their children as early as possible.”   [Below]  We welcomed visiting Rotarian Steve Naron and guest Qubenic Yancy.

Bob Nelson, who's career has been spent at NASA, congratulates Dr. Michelle Thaller for bringing all the latest discoveries by NASA spacecraft and astronomers.  As seen in the photo below, Rotarians and guests were captivated by the photographic presentation.
